Abstract

It is 2038. In our data-driven future, data has been firmly established as an economicasset and new, data-driven smart technologies have changed the way we live, work, love, thinkand vote. However, privacy laws provide a powerful counterbalance against data usage, stiflinginnovation. Joanne Asschenberg, a young entrepreneur, finds out the hard way when sheintroduces her AI personal assistant. While the law is clear, the private GDPR enforcementboards have in practice made use of AI impossible. She has to find a creative solution within thelaw or risk losing the AI completely...
