Exporting to China: Possibilities and challenges for US dairy industry

Abstract

Opportunities as well as challenges for US dairy industry to export to China have been explored. China dairy import is predicted to grow significantly toward the year 2000, even though it could be restricted by its available foreign currency and lower priority of dairy products in the government importing list. The share of this market to be taken by the United States however will depend on the United States' competitiveness in world markets as well as its own export promotion efforts. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
