Private Krankenzusatzversicherung expandierte 2024 kräftig

Abstract

Die österreichische Privatversicherungswirtschaft steigerte 2024 das Prämienvolumen um 5,9%. Die private Krankenversicherung wuchs noch dynamischer als im Vorjahr (+10,7%). Das Prämienwachstum in der Schaden- und Unfallversicherung (+6,6%) entstand überwiegend durch Tariferhöhungen, die Versicherer vergrößerten aber auch die Zahl versicherter Risiken. Die Lebensversicherung (+1,3%) konnte besonders das Neugeschäft mit Einmalerlägen sowie fonds- und indexgebundenen Produkten ausbauen. Umfangreiche Hochwasserschäden und höhere Preise für Reparaturen bzw. höhere Wiederbeschaffungswerte steigerten sowohl die Schadenfälle als auch die Aufwendungen pro Fall. Insgesamt legten die Leistungen um 5,8% zu. Das Veranlagungsergebnis der Versicherungswirtschaft blieb 2024 annähernd konstant und ermöglichte der Branche trotz hoher Leistungen eine stabile Profitabilität. Mit Ausnahme der Lebensversicherung entsprach die Entwicklung auf dem österreichischen Versicherungsmarkt jener auf internationaler Ebene.
