Abstract

Im zweiten Rezessionsjahr 2024 schrumpfte die Bruttowertschöpfung laut WIFO-Schnellschätzung in allen Bundesländern. Dies folgte aus einem Wertschöpfungsrückgang in beinahe sämtlichen Sektoren. Am kräftigsten war er in der Sachgütererzeugung – und hier gemessen am abgesetzten Produktionswert in Kärnten, Oberösterreich und Niederösterreich. Anders als im Vorjahr gingen 2024 auch von der Beherbergung und Gastronomie keine positiven Impulse mehr aus (preisbereinigt). Eine Ausweitung des Personalstandes im öffentlichen Dienst stützte die Entwicklung der aktiv unselbständigen Beschäftigung, die im Vergleich zum Vorjahr stagnierte (+0,2%).
