Geldpolitische Wende schmälerte 2022 das Veranlagungsergebnis der Versicherungswirtschaft

Abstract

Die österreichische Privatversicherungswirtschaft steigerte 2022 das Prämienvolumen um 5,2%, wobei sich die Schaden- und Unfallversicherung besonders dynamisch entwickelte (+8,3%). Das Prämienwachstum der privaten Krankenversicherungen (+4,1%) resultierte aus einer Ausweitung des Versicherungsschutzes, aus Preissteigerungen sowie – in geringerem Ausmaß – aus einem Zuwachs an Versicherten. Die Lebensversicherung (–1,1%) kämpfte dagegen mit langen Vertragslaufzeiten bei gleichzeitig hoher Unsicherheit auf den Kapitalmärkten. Die Leistungen für Versicherungsschäden legten insgesamt um 2,5% zu. Das versicherungstechnische Ergebnis schrumpfte im Jahresvergleich, da das Veranlagungsgeschäft einbrach. Die Entwicklung in Österreich passte 2022 gut zum internationalen Umfeld.
