Mittel-, Ost- und Südosteuropa zwischen hoher Inflation und Konjunkturflaute im Euro-Raum

Abstract

Das BIP-Wachstum in den mittel-, ost- und südosteuropäischen Ländern (MOSOEL) verlangsamte sich im Vorjahr auf nur 0,8%, dürfte aber 2023 wieder auf 1,6% anziehen. Dies ist fast ausschließlich der Stabilisierung in Russland und der Ukraine zu verdanken, deren Volkswirtschaften sich den Sanktionen des Westens bzw. den Kriegsbedingungen weitgehend angepasst haben. In den meisten anderen MOSOEL ist aufgrund der hohen Inflation und der Konjunkturflaute im Euro-Raum mit einer weiteren Abkühlung zu rechnen. Dabei schneiden die Westbalkan- und die südosteuropäischen EU-Mitgliedsländer überdurchschnittlich gut ab, weil sie von hohen Zuflüssen ausländischer Direktinvestitionen, privaten Überweisungen aus dem Ausland, Tourismuseinnahmen sowie EU-Transfers profitieren. Obwohl der Höhepunkt bereits erreicht wurde, bleibt die Inflation in vielen MOSOEL zweistellig. Dies macht eine baldige Lockerung der Geldpolitik unwahrscheinlich.
