Investitionspläne für 2023 deutlich gekürzt. Ergebnisse der WIFO-Investitionsbefragung vom Herbst 2022

Abstract

Die Ergebnisse der WIFO-Investitionsbefragung zeigen für 2022 eine gedämpfte Investitionsnachfrage. Nach Branchen ist das Bild gemischt. Während einige Sektoren wie etwa das Gastgewerbe von einem starken Einbruch ihrer Investitionstätigkeit im Jahr 2022 berichten, melden Unternehmen anderer Branchen, etwa Erbringer von Finanz- und Versicherungsdienstleistungen, weiterhin eine kräftige Expansion. Sachgütererzeuger sind hinsichtlich ihrer Investitionspläne zwar deutlich zurückhaltender als Dienstleister, diese planen jedoch für 2023 abermals eine Einschränkung ihrer Investitionstätigkeit. Großbetriebe dürften ihre Investitionen 2023 stärker ausweiten als kleine und mittlere Unternehmen (KMU). Die Investitionstätigkeit wird vor allem durch technologische Entwicklungen getrieben. Am häufigsten dienen Investitionen dem Ersatz alter Anlagen oder Ausrüstungen. Kapazitätserweiterungen spielen als Investitionszweck lediglich eine untergeordnete Rolle.
