Österreichischer Arbeitsmarkt seit Frühjahr 2021 auf Erholungskurs

Abstract

Ab dem Frühjahr 2021 erholte sich der österreichische Arbeitsmarkt allmählich von den Verwerfungen durch die COVID-19-Pandemie und die Maßnahmen zu ihrer Eindämmung im Vorjahr. Die Beschäftigung erreichte bereits im Mai wieder das Vorkrisenniveau des Jahres 2019, die Arbeitslosigkeit erst im Herbst. Selbst der vierte Lockdown im Winter 2021 bremste den Aufschwung kaum. Im Frühjahr 2022 setzte sich der Aufwärtstrend auf dem Arbeitsmarkt trotz des Kriegsausbruchs in der Ukraine fort. Trotz des rezenten Rückgangs bleibt die hohe Langzeitbeschäftigungslosigkeit eine zentrale politische Herausforderung.
