Österreichs Standortqualität im Executive Opinion Survey 2021

Abstract

Der Executive Opinion Survey (EOS) ist eine internationale Umfrage des World Economic Forum zur Standortqualität. In Österreich wurde sie in Zusammenarbeit mit dem WIFO zuletzt von Ende April bis Ende Juni 2021 durchgeführt. Dieser Beitrag fasst die wichtigsten Ergebnisse entlang von vier Dimensionen zusammen: öffentliche Institutionen, öffentliche Güter, Märkte und Unternehmen. Zur Positionsbestimmung werden die Ergebnisse für Österreich mit den Durchschnittswerten dreier Ländergruppen verglichen, die für Österreich besonders relevant sind. Österreich erweist sich insgesamt als attraktiver Standort, bleibt aber bei zahlreichen Indikatoren hinter dem Durchschnitt einer Vergleichsgruppe kleiner offener Volkswirtschaften in der EU zurück.
