Indikatoren zum österreichischen Energiesystem

Abstract

Anhand der von Statistik Austria jüngst veröffentlichten Energie- und Nutzenergiebilanzen für das Jahr 2019 wurden Indikatoren entwickelt, die die gegenwärtigen Strukturen des österreichischen Energiesystems beschreiben. Ergänzend wurden um Konjunktur und Außentemperatur kompensierte Werte für den Energieverbrauch und die CO2-Emissionen geschätzt. Diese Evidenz macht deutlich, dass strukturelle Maßnahmen erforderlich sind, um das österreichische Energiesystem an die Vorgaben des Pariser Klimavertrags und die EU-Klimaziele anzupassen und bis 2040 das im Regierungsprogramm festgehaltene Ziel der Klimaneutralität zu erreichen. Seit 2015 steigen in Österreich die CO2-Emissionen, trotz der Bemühungen beim Ausbau erneuerbarer Energieträger. Einer effizienteren Verwendung von Energie muss daher mehr Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet werden.
