COVID-19-Krise beschert heimischem Tourismus herbe Verluste

Abstract

Lockdowns, Einreise- und Flugbeschränkungen sowie die allgemeine Verunsicherung der Gäste bescheren der heimischen Tourismuswirtschaft seit März 2020 herbe Verluste. Nach einer kurzen Atempause im Sommer 2020 entfiel die Wintersaison 2020/21 zur Gänze. Seit der Öffnung der Beherbergungsbetriebe im Mai 2021 gewann die Nachfrage zwar wieder an Schwung. Die Aussichten für die Wintersaison 2021/22 trüben sich jedoch angesichts der deutlichen Zunahme des Infektionsgeschehens, der Verschärfung der behördlichen Restriktionen und der Reisewarnungen für Österreich immer mehr ein.
