Konjunkturbeurteilungen bleiben unter dem Eindruck der COVID-19-Krise – Erwartungen signalisieren beginnende Entspannung. Ergebnisse der Quartalsbefragung des WIFO-Konjunkturtests vom Juli 2020

Abstract

Die aktuellen Konjunktureinschätzungen waren im Juli weiterhin durch die COVID-19-Krise bestimmt. Nur in der Bauwirtschaft entspannt sich die Lage, aber auch in den anderen Sektoren ziehen die Konjunkturerwartungen an. Die WIFO-Konjunkturampel bestätigt diese Verbesserung der Stimmung im österreichischen Unternehmenssektor und zeigt eine Trendwende an. In allen Sektoren bleibt die Unsicherheit aber überdurchschnittlich hoch. Durchwegs stieg die Kapazitätsauslastung gegenüber der April-Umfrage, ebenso die gesicherte Produktionsdauer. Die Angaben der Unternehmen zu den Hindernissen ihrer Geschäftstätigkeit deuten auf die Verwerfungen im Zuge der COVID-19-Krise hin. Meistgenanntes Hemmnis war im Juli der "Mangel an Nachfrage".
