Update der mittelfristigen Prognose der österreichischen Wirtschaft 2017 bis 2021

Abstract

Nach dem relativ schwachen Wachstum der Vorjahre zieht die Konjunktur in Österreich ab 2017 (+2%) wieder kräftiger an. Die österreichische Wirtschaft wird bis 2021 mit durchschnittlich +1,7% pro Jahr ähnlich stark wachsen wie im Durchschnitt des Euro-Raumes. Dank der rascheren Expansion wird die Beschäftigung ausgeweitet (2017 +1,6%, 2017/2021 +1,3% p. a.). Die etwas schwächere Entwicklung des Arbeitskräfteangebotes erlaubt bis 2019 eine Stabilisierung der Arbeitslosenquote (gemäß AMS-Definition) bei 8,9%. Bis zum Ende des Prognosezeitraumes dürfte die Quote aber angebotsbedingt wieder auf 9,1% steigen. Der Inflationsdruck bleibt mittelfristig gering, die Inflationsrate wird durchschnittlich 1,8% betragen. Das Inflationsdifferential zum Durchschnitt des Euro-Raumes sollte sich merklich verringern. Aufgrund des prognostizierten Konjunkturverlaufes und der angenommenen wirtschaftspolitischen Rahmenbedingungen wird im Prognosezeitraum ein (sowohl strukturell als auch nach Maastricht-Definition) ausgeglichener Staatshaushalt erwartet. Ab 2016 geht die Staatsschuldenquote (Verschuldung des Gesamtstaates in Prozent des nominellen BIP) bis 2021 um rund 12 Prozentpunkte auf knapp 72% zurück.
