Mäßiger Aufschwung im Osten – Neue Unsicherheiten durch geplanten EU-Austritt Großbritanniens

Abstract

Für die Wirtschaft der mittel-, ost- und südosteuropäischen Länder (MOSOEL) ist das internationale Umfeld insbesondere von der trägen Erholung im Euro-Raum gekennzeichnet. Mittelfristig wird das Trendwachstum des BIP in den MOSOEL bis zu 3% betragen. Bestimmt wird es vor allem in den ostmitteleuropäischen EU-Ländern durch den Konsum der privaten Haushalte. In den Ländern des Westbalkans tragen auch Investitionen und Nettoexporte erheblich zur Expansion bei. In der GUS und der Ukraine scheint die Konjunktur die Talsohle erreicht zu haben. Nach einer Phase der Stagnation kann auch dort ein leichtes Wachstum erwartet werden. Die österreichische Wirtschaft profitiert nach wie vor von ihrer wirtschaftlichen Verflechtung mit den MOSOEL. Direkte Auswirkungen des geplanten EU-Austrittes von Großbritannien auf die Region sind begrenzt; die indirekten Effekte auf die gesamte europäische Wirtschaft könnten beträchtlich sein.
