Österreichweit schwaches Wachstum bei regionalem West-Ost-Gefälle. Die Wirtschaft in den Bundesländern 2014

Abstract

Die Bruttowertschöpfung wuchs 2014 in Österreich insgesamt nur geringfügig, wobei die Dynamik in den westlichen und südlichen Bundesländern etwas höher war. Mit Ausnahme von Vorarlberg blieb das Wachstum in allen Bundesländern unter dem EU-Durchschnitt. Trotz der Konjunkturerholung in der EU fehlten nennenswerte positive außenwirtschaftliche Impulse für die heimische Wirtschaft. Die Ausweitung der Beschäftigung hielt neuerlich nicht mit dem Anstieg des Arbeitskräfteangebotes Schritt, sodass die Arbeitslosigkeit in allen Bundesländern stieg. Ballungsräume waren davon stärker betroffen als ländliche Gebiete.
