Abstract

Die Bruttowertschöpfung wuchs im Jahr 2013 in allen Bundesländern schwach, weil vom Export als traditionell wichtigem Wachstumstreiber kaum Impulse ausgingen. Von der Aufhellung der nationalen und internationalen Konjunktur im 2. Halbjahr profitierten die Industrieregionen; sie erzielten deshalb 2013 insgesamt einen leichten Wachstumsvorsprung. Auf dem Arbeitsmarkt schlug sich die Konjunkturschwäche in einer nur geringen Ausweitung der Beschäftigung und einem deutlichen Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit nieder, der in städtischen Gebieten tendenziell intensiver verlief.
