Unternehmensstimmung verbessert

Abstract

Die weltweite Konjunkturschwäche hält an, wenngleich Vorlaufindikatoren auf eine langsame Erholung zeigen. Auch in Österreich wächst die Zuversicht der Unternehmen und privaten Haushalte, wie der aktuelle WIFO-Konjunkturtest zeigt. Ende 2012 war die Dynamik noch verhalten, sowohl Exporte als auch Industrieproduktion flauten ab. Auch der Einzelhandel verzeichnete Umsatzeinbußen. Positive Impulse kamen zuletzt hingegen vom Tourismus. Die Inflation blieb auch im Dezember hoch, wobei die Preissteigerung von Mineralölprodukten immer mehr an Gewicht verliert. Die Konjunkturschwäche belastet den Arbeitsmarkt, im Vormonatsvergleich stagnierte die Beschäftigung erneut. Gleichzeitig erhöhte sich die Zahl der Arbeitslosen nochmals.
