Industrieregionen 2009 vom Einbruch des Außenhandels besonders betroffen

Abstract

Die Wirtschaftskrise, die 2009 die exportintensiven Sachgüterproduzenten noch stärker betraf als die anderen Sektoren, veränderte die regionale Konjunkturlage in Österreich grundlegend: Waren in der Hochkonjunktur die Industrieregionen deutlich bevorzugt, so sind sie nunmehr von der Krise am meisten betroffen. Sie verzeichneten die größten Wertschöpfungseinbußen und den höchsten Anstieg der Arbeitslosigkeit. Nach Schätzung des WIFO sank die Bruttowertschöpfung im Jahr 2009 in den Industriebundesländern Steiermark (–5,0%), Oberösterreich (–4,9%), Vorarlberg (–4,8%) und Niederösterreich (–4,7%) am stärksten. Wien (–2,6%) verzeichnete den geringsten Rückgang.
