Weiterhin nur langsame Konjunkturbelebung in der EU und in Österreich

Abstract

Während die Wirtschaft in den USA und den Schwellenländern in Asien und Lateinamerika zu Jahresbeginn deutlich expandierte, blieb die Konjunktur in Europa und Österreich schwach. Gemäß der WIFO-Schnellschätzung stagnierte die österreichische Wirtschaft im I. Quartal. Die Bauwirtschaft verzeichnete wetterbedingt Produktionsausfälle, in der Sachgütererzeugung kam der Aufwärtstrend der vergangenen Monate zum Stehen. Der aktuelle WIFO-Konjunkturtest deutet jedoch auf eine Belebung im II. Quartal hin. Die Stabilisierung der Konjunktur überträgt sich langsam auf den Arbeitsmarkt. Im März und April 2010 zeigte die unbereinigte Beschäftigtenzahl im Vorjahresvergleich erstmals eine Verbesserung.
