Aufschwung mit anhaltender Unsicherheit. Prognose für 2010 und 2011

Abstract

Durch die Abwertung des Euro im 1. Halbjahr begünstigt, sollte der Export des Euro-Raumes in der zweiten Jahreshälfte 2010 neuerlich expandieren. Gleichzeitig wird sich aber das Wirtschaftswachstum in den USA und in Asien etwas abschwächen. Im Jahr 2011 wird der Aufschwung im Euro-Raum weiterhin verhalten ausfallen. Zwar dürfte sich die Lage in der Industrie stabilisieren. Die hohen Staatsdefizite und anstehenden Konsolidierungsmaßnahmen, die mäßige Investitionsdynamik, der Reformbedarf im Finanzsektor und die Ungleichgewichte im Euro-Raum belasten die Entwicklung aber. Für Österreich erwartet das WIFO 2010 ein Wirtschaftswachstum von real 2,0% und 2011 von 1,9%. Die Konjunkturbelebung trägt zu einer Verbesserung der Lage auf dem Arbeitsmarkt und in den öffentlichen Haushalten bei. Bis 2011 dürften die Arbeitslosenquote auf 6,8% und das Budgetdefizit – unter Berücksichtigung der geplanten Konsolidierungsmaßnahmen – auf 3,5% sinken.
