Abstract

Österreichs Wirtschaft befindet sich in einer Übergangsphase von der Umsetzung bestehender Technologien zur Schaffung neuartiger Produkte und Prozesse. So ist die Forschungsintensität der österreichischen Wirtschaft stark gestiegen, ebenso die Qualifikationsanforderungen an die Arbeitskräfte. Um diesen Wandel zu vollziehen, müssen sich die Bildungs- sowie die Branchenstrukturen deutlich stärker als bisher anpassen und bestehende Defizite beseitigt werden.
