Abstract

Unternehmensumfragen in Österreich und im Euro-Raum zeigen einen deutlichen Anstieg der Zuversicht, was auf eine weitere Verbesserung der Konjunktur schließen lässt. Das heimische Wirtschaftswachstum hat sich im I. Quartal 2006 jedoch wetterbedingt leicht abgeschwächt. Trotz der anhaltenden Treibstoffverteuerung fiel die Inflation im März auf den niedrigsten Stand der letzten Jahre. Die Lage auf dem heimischen Arbeitsmarkt hat sich im April gebessert. Der Beschäftigtenanstieg ging mit einer Verringerung der Arbeitslosigkeit einher.
