Erholung der Investitionskonjunktur. Prognose für 2006 und 2007

Abstract

Österreichs Wirtschaft wird im Jahr 2006 real um 2,4% wachsen. Die Konjunkturerholung wird vom Export getragen. Die österreichische Sachgütererzeugung wird erheblich von den Vorziehkäufen an dauerhaften Konsumgütern, vor allem Pkw profitieren, die in Deutschland aufgrund der Anhebung der Mehrwertsteuer mit 1. Jänner 2007 getätigt werden. Die Ergebnisse des WIFO-Konjunkturtests zeigen, dass die Verbesserung der Absatzerwartungen die Unternehmen zur Realisierung von Investitionsprojekten veranlasst. Hingegen kann sich die Konsumnachfrage der privaten Haushalte nur langsam aus ihrer durch zurückhaltende Reallohnsteigerungen und steigende Sparquote geprägten Schwäche lösen. Die Verlangsamung des Preisauftriebs ermöglicht 2006 eine mäßige Ausweitung der Realeinkommen. Die Aufstockung der Mittel für aktive Arbeitsmarktpolitik verhindert eine weitere Zunahme der Arbeitslosigkeit, trägt zusammen mit anderen Ausgabensteigerungen allerdings auch zu einem Anstieg des Budgetdefizits bei.
