Abstract

Der Warenexport hat als Konjunkturmotor deutlich an Schwung verloren. Darin spiegeln sich die neuerliche Schwäche der europäischen Konjunktur und die Nachwirkungen des relativ hohen Euro-Kurses. Seit zwei Monaten deuten jedoch die Unternehmensumfragen im Euro-Raum, insbesondere in Deutschland, auf eine Besserung der derzeit flauen Konjunktur hin. In Österreich weisen die jüngsten Befragungen in der Sachgütererzeugung noch nicht aufwärts. Die Bauunternehmen beurteilen jedoch ihre Geschäftslage recht günstig. Auch der Einzelhandel erholte sich im II. Quartal.
