Weiterhin kräftiges Wachstum in Asien, Russland und den USA – Deutschland und Japan bleiben Nachzügler. Mittelfristige Prognose der Weltwirtschaft bis 2009

Abstract

Zwischen 2004 und 2009 dürfte der Welthandel um durchschnittlich 6,6% und das Welt-BIP um 3,2% pro Jahr zunehmen und damit rascher wachsen als in den vergangenen fünf Jahren. Unter den Industrieländern werden die USA mit +3,1% weiterhin ein merklich höheres Wirtschaftswachstum erreichen als die EU 15 (+2,2%). Am schwächsten wird sich die Wirtschaft in Deutschland und Japan entwickeln (jeweils +1,4% pro Jahr). Angesichts dieser Wachstumsdifferenzen bleiben die beträchtlichen Leistungsbilanzungleichgewichte zwischen den USA, Deutschland und Japan bestehen. Sollte deshalb der Euro-Kurs gegenüber dem Dollar weiter steigen und dadurch den Rohölpreis auf höherem Niveau stabilisieren als im Basisszenario angenommen, so würde das mittelfristige Wachstumstempo der Weltwirtschaft um 0,3 Prozentpunkte pro Jahr gedämpft.
