2004 Ergebnis aller Privatversicherungszweige stark verbessert

Abstract

Nach der verhaltenen Entwicklung des Jahres 2003 hat sich das Prämienwachstum in der Versicherungswirtschaft 2004 mehr als verdoppelt. Für 2005 zeichnen Umfragen des WIFO ebenfalls ein optimistisches Bild. Der Aufschwung wurde sowohl durch die Lebens- als auch durch die Schaden-Unfallversicherung getragen und mündete in einem neuen Höchstwert der Versicherungsdurchdringung. Mit dem Wegfall von Echoeffekten fielen die Leistungen in der Lebensversicherung um nahezu ein Viertel geringer aus als im Vorjahr; in der Kranken- und in der Schaden-Unfallversicherung stiegen sie mäßig. In allen Versicherungsabteilungen ermöglichte das gute Veranlagungsergebnis sowohl eine deutliche Ausweitung der versicherungstechnischen Rückstellungen als auch ein hohes Ergebnis der gewöhnlichen Geschäftstätigkeit.
