Konjunkturerholung gewinnt an Kontur. Prognose für 2004 und 2005

Abstract

Das Wirtschaftswachstum wird sich in Österreich im Jahr 2004 real auf 1,7% und im Jahr 2005 auf 2,4% erhöhen. Die wichtigsten Impulse für die vorsichtige Konjunkturerholung kommen vom Welthandel – in den USA und in Asien ist ein merklicher Aufschwung in Gang gekommen, dessen Übertragung auf Europa durch die Aufwertung des Euro gegenüber dem Dollar gedämpft wird. In Österreich bestehen eine Reihe von Anzeichen für eine beginnende Erholung der Warenausfuhr und der Sachgütererzeugung. Das Wachstum der Konsumnachfrage der privaten Haushalte nähert sich nur langsam dem langfristigen Durchschnitt. Die Inlandsnachfrage wird vor allem durch ein hohes Niveau der Aktivitäten im Tiefbau und eine merkliche Verbesserung im Wohnbau gestützt.
