Schätzung der direkten Kinderkosten in Österreich

Abstract

Die "direkten" Kinderkosten der privaten Haushalte kann man als jenes zusätzliche Einkommen definieren, das Familien mit steigender Kinderzahl erzielen müssten, um das gleiche Wohlstandsniveau wie vergleichbare kinderlose Haushalte zu erreichen. Nach ökonometrischen Schätzungen aufgrund der Daten der Konsumerhebung 1999/2000 betragen diese direkten Kinderkosten in Haushalten mit einem Erwachsenen rund 520 € pro Kind und Monat, in Haushalten mit zwei Erwachsenen rund 480 €; sie erreichen 340 € bzw. 385 € für ein Kind bis 10 Jahre und 550 € bzw. 590 € für ein Kind im Alter von 11 bis 18 Jahren.
