Anhaltende Konjunkturflaute

Abstract

Die aktuellen Konjunkturindikatoren deuten nicht auf einen Wirtschaftsaufschwung hin. Im WIFO-Konjunkturtest für das III. Quartal rechnen die Sachgütererzeuger neuerlich mit einer Verlangsamung des Produktionswachstums; sie melden einen Rückgang der Exportaufträge und der Verkaufspreise. Das Wachstum des heimischen Warenexports schwächt sich ab. Das Konsumentenvertrauen ist seit Jahresbeginn erheblich zurückgegangen, die Einzelhandelsumsätze stagnieren. Günstig entwickelt sich hingegen die Konjunktur in der Bauwirtschaft. Neben den Unternehmen des Tiefbaus zeigen sich jüngst auch jene des Hochbaus optimistischer. Auf dem Arbeitsmarkt zeichnet sich vor dem Hintergrund der Konjunkturflaute keine Erholung ab. Die Zahl der Arbeitslosen liegt merklich über dem hohen Niveau des Vorjahres.
