Unternehmen abermals pessimistischer – Arbeitslosigkeit steigt weiter

Abstract

Die Konjunkturumfrage des WIFO zeigt eine neuerliche Eintrübung der Erwartungen für die Produktionstätigkeit in den kommenden Monaten. Die Einschätzung der aktuellen Auftragslage durch die Unternehmen hat sich jedoch gegenüber den Vormonaten kaum verändert. Die Befragung erfolgte im Wesentlichen vor der Flutkatastrophe und gibt somit keine allfälligen Effekte wieder. Trotz ungünstiger Exportkonjunktur erhöht sich der Außenbeitrag kräftig. Handels- und Leistungsbilanz weisen erstmals seit langem Überschüsse aus. Dies ist primär die Folge der außerordentlich schwachen Inlandsnachfrage, die einen beträchtlichen Rückgang der Importe zur Folge hat. Aufgrund der geringen Wirtschaftsdynamik steigt die Arbeitslosenquote erneut.
