Konjunkturerholung kommt zögernd voran

Abstract

Die Konjunkturerholung erfolgt in der EU zu Jahresbeginn nur zögernd. Alle vorauseilenden Indikatoren deuten jedoch auf eine kräftigere Belebung im II. Quartal hin. In Österreich wächst die Zuversicht der Unternehmen bereits seit Monaten. Die aktuelle Geschäftslage wird noch vorsichtig eingeschätzt, die Erwartungen für die kommenden Monate sind jedoch positiv. Die Sachgüterproduktion und die Umsätze des Handels stagnierten im I. Quartal annähernd auf dem Vorjahresniveau, die Bauproduktion wurde deutlich eingeschränkt. Die Arbeitslosenquote nahm um 1 Prozentpunkt gegenüber dem Vorjahr zu, mit einer Wende auf dem Arbeitsmarkt ist im 2. Halbjahr zu rechnen.
