Konjunkturerholung verzögert. Prognose für 2002 und 2003

Abstract

Die Talfahrt der Börsenkurse hat das Vertrauen der Konsumenten und Unternehmen weltweit erschüttert. Dadurch verzögert sich die Konjunkturerholung. Die österreichische Wirtschaft wird heuer um nur knapp 1% und nächstes Jahr um mehr als 2% wachsen. Das gedämpfte Wachstum schlägt sich in stark steigender Arbeitslosigkeit und ungeplant hohen Budgetdefiziten nieder. Die erwartete Erholung im Jahr 2003 setzt voraus, dass sich die Lage an den Börsen stabilisiert und aufgeschobene Investitionen nachgeholt werden.
