Wachstum 2000 in allen Bundesländern über dem Trend

Abstract

Im kräftigen Konjunkturaufschwung des Jahres 2000 waren die regionalen Unterschiede der Wirtschaftsentwicklung relativ gering. Die Wirtschaft wuchs in den von der Sachgüterproduktion geprägten Bundesländern am stärksten. Insbesondere in Ober- und Niederösterreich sowie in der Steiermark und in Tirol nahm die Wertschöpfung beträchtlich zu, während die Entwicklung in Kärnten und Wien zurückblieb. Auch der Arbeitsmarkt wies durchwegs eine Tendenz zur Erholung auf. Die Beschäftigung erhöhte sich in fast allen Bundesländern, in den Großstädten schwächer als in anderen Regionen. Die Arbeitslosigkeit ging in beinahe allen Arbeitsamtsbezirken zurück.
