Baunachfrage in Westeuropa gedämpft, Belebung in Ost-Mitteleuropa

Abstract

Die westeuropäische Bauwirtschaft profitierte im Jahr 2000 vom allgemeinen Konjunkturaufschwung und wuchs um 2,8%. Die Prognosen für 2001 sind allerdings mit +1,4% sehr gedämpft, für 2002/03 wird eine nur geringfügige Beschleunigung auf +1,7% erwartet. Ursache dieser mäßigen Expansion ist vor allem der Nachfragerückgang im Wohnungsneubau. Die Tiefbauinvestitionen werden in den kommenden Jahren mit dem forcierten Ausbau der Verkehrsinfrastruktur wieder etwas kräftiger wachsen. Im Gegensatz zu Westeuropa gewinnt die Bauwirtschaft in den ostmitteleuropäischen Ländern wieder an Dynamik. Die reale Bauproduktion stieg im Jahr 2000 um 2,9%, für 2001 wird eine Rate von +5,3%, für 2002/03 von +6½% bis +7½% prognostiziert. Die höchsten Zuwächse werden in Ungarn und der Slowakei erwartet. Die Prognosen für Österreich bleiben hinter dem europäischen Durchschnitt zurück (2001 +1%, 2002/03 1,5%).
