Anzeichen für Nachlassen der hohen Wirtschaftsdynamik

Abstract

Das Bruttoinlandsprodukt stieg im 1. Halbjahr 2000 dank reger Nachfrage aus dem In- und Ausland real um knapp 4%. Dies trug zum merklichen Rückgang der Arbeitslosigkeit bei. Auch für das III. Quartal weisen verschiedene Indikatoren auf das Anhalten der Hochkonjunktur hin. Nun werden aber Anzeichen eines Nachlassens der regen Wachstumsdynamik sichtbar. Im WIFO-Konjunkturtest zeigen sich die Erzeuger von Vorprodukten und die Bauzulieferer pessimistischer. Der drastische Anstieg der Erdölpreise hat eine Beschleunigung des Preisauftriebs auf Verbraucherebene zur Folge und beeinträchtigt die Kaufkraft der privaten Haushalte merklich.
