Abstract

Die Schwäche der österreichischen Industrie- und Exportkonjunktur hielt zu Jahresbeginn 1999 an. Die Unternehmensbefragungen vom Frühjahr lassen jedoch eine Stabilisierung der Produktionserwartungen erkennen. Trotz flauer Exportkonjunktur ist auf dem Arbeitsmarkt dank steigender Inlandsnachfrage und ruhigerer Entwicklung des Arbeitskräfteangebotes die Wende eingetreten.
