Langfristige Prognose des Arbeitskräfteangebotes. Vorausschätzung 1996/2030 und Modellrechnung bis 2050 nach Bundesländern

Abstract

Das Arbeitskräfteangebot wird mit dem Älterwerden der Babyboom-Generation der späten fünfziger und frühen sechziger Jahre und dem Eintritt der geburtenschwachen Jahrgänge der siebziger Jahre in den Arbeitsmarkt im frühen nächsten Jahrhundert rasch altern. Das Ausmaß und die Geschwindigkeit der Überalterung ist nicht in allen Bundesländern gleich. Das resultiert sowohl aus demographischen Faktoren als auch aus einer unterschiedlichen Entwicklung des Erwerbsverhaltens von Frauen und Männern nach Alter und Region. Das Erwerbsverhalten der Österreicher wird sich allmählich an den EU-Durchschnitt anpassen, insbesondere wird die Erwerbsbeteiligung Älterer und von Frauen in mittleren Jahren steigen.
