Industrie prägt Wirtschaftsentwicklung in Oberösterreich

Abstract

Oberösterreich ist eine wohlhabende Industrieregion, deren Wirtschaft sich ohne hartnäckige Krisen an verschärfte Wettbewerbsbedingungen angepaßt hat. Die Reorganisation der Verstaatlichten Industrie und Probleme in der Grundstoff- sowie abgeschwächt in der Bekleidungsindustrie bewirkten, daß die Wirtschaft in Oberösterreich zwischen 1988 und 1994 etwas langsamer wuchs als im übrigen Österreich. Erleichtert wurde die Redimensionierung der oberösterreichischen Industrie durch eine vielseitige Produktionsstruktur und einen starken Zentralraum. Insbesondere die mittelständischen Unternehmen der Zuliefer- und Baustoffindustrie entwickelten sich sehr dynamisch. Zuletzt trug die oberösterreichische Industrie wieder zu einem überdurchschnittlichen Wachstum des Sektors in Österreich bei.
