Konjunkturklima in Österreichs Industrie günstiger als in der EU

Abstract

Nach der sehr schwachen Entwicklung im Winter hat sich eine Reihe von Konjunkturindikatoren in den letzten Monaten etwas verbessert. Die Beschäftigung steigt saisonbereinigt und unterschritt das Vorjahresniveau zuletzt noch um 13.000. Auch Nachfrage und Produktion dürften sich leicht erholt haben. Die private Konsumnachfrage vor allem nach langlebigen Gütern ist weiterhin sehr robust. Im WIFO-Konjunkturtest vom Juli geben Produktionserwartungen und Einschätzung der Auftragslage in der Industrie eine etwas optimistischere Stimmung wieder als zuletzt. Hingegen meldet die Tourismuswirtschaft weiterhin erhebliche Nächtigungsrückgänge gegenüber dem Vorjahr.
