Ökonomisches Leitbild für die Agglomeration Wien

Abstract

Um die jahrzehntelange Wachstumsschwäche der Agglomeration Wien zu überwinden, ist ein rasches und koordiniertes Handeln der wirtschafts- und regionalpolitischen Entscheidungsträger erforderlich. Eine strategische Neupositionierung des Standortes Wien setzt ein Konzept voraus, das über die administrativen Grenzen der Bundesländer in der Ostregion hinweggeht. Das vom WIFO entworfene ökonomische Leitbild für die gesamte Agglomeration Wien baut auf einer Internationalisierung von Industrie und produktionsnahen Diensten sowie einer Stabilisierung des Tourismus auf. Weiters erhält die Siedlungsstruktur durch Steigerung der Attraktivität der Wohnstandorte wettbewerbsbestimmende Bedeutung.
