Preisumkehr auf dem Markt für Industrierohstoffe. Entwicklung und Prognose der Weltmarktpreise von Industrierohstoffen

Abstract

Nach einem weiteren Rückgang im vergangenen Jahr (–14%) zogen die Weltmarktpreise von Industrierohstoffen im I. Quartal 1994 um 8% an (auf Dollarbasis). Im Jahresdurchschnitt wird sowohl für 1994 als auch für 1995 mit einem Anstieg von 7% (ohne Erdöl) gerechnet. Besonders stark werden sich Baumwolle, Schnittholz, Zellstoff, Aluminium und Blei verteuern. Im österreichischen Import entwickelten sich die Preise parallel zum Weltmarkt: Nach einer Verbilligung der Industrierohstoffimporte um 12,8% im Jahre 1993 erfolgte im I. Quartal 1994 eine Preisumkehr (+8,9%; jeweils auf Schillingbasis). Besonders ausgeprägt ist die Tendenzwende für Importe von Blei, Nickel, Zellstoff und Schnittholz.
