Österreichs grenzüberschreitende Direktinvestitionen. Überblick und Stellung im Osten

Abstract

Die Bedeutung von Direktinvestitionen im Ausland ist in den vergangenen Jahren gestiegen. Der Bestand an österreichischen Direktinvestitionen im Ausland (Nominalkapital) erreichte Mitte 1993 59 Mrd. S, jener der Direktinvestitionen des Auslands in Österreich 69 Mrd. S. Etwa die Hälfte der österreichischen Direktinvestitionen im Ausland entfällt auf die EU. Der Anteil des Ostens an den Direktinvestitionen vergrößerte sich von 10% 1989 auf über 25% Mitte 1993. Die ausländischen Direktinvestitionen in den Oststaaten erreichten Mitte 1993 16½ Mrd. $, in Ost-Mitteleuropa 10,3 Mrd. $. Sie dürften dort bis Jahresende auf 11 bis 12 Mrd. $ gestiegen sein. Von den österreichischen Direktinvestitionen im Osten von 17 Mrd. S entfielen Mitte 1993 auf Ungarn fast 12 Mrd. S, auf die frühere CSFR 3½ Mrd. S und auf Slowenien ¾ Mrd. S. An den gesamten Investitionen des Westens in Ost-Mitteleuropa war Österreich mit über 10% beteiligt.
