1993 anhaltender Rückgang der Baunachfrage in Europa

Abstract

In Westeuropa setzte nach einem Boom Ende der achtziger Jahre Anfang der neunziger Jahre eine Abschwächung der Baukonjunktur ein. Das gesamte Bauvolumen sank 1992 real um 1% und wird 1993 um weitere 1,2% schrumpfen. Von der Krise wurde Anfang der neunziger Jahre zunächst die Bauwirtschaft Großbritanniens erfaßt, in der Folge auch jene von Frankreich, Spanien und Italien. Besonders kritisch ist die Situation der Bauwirtschaft in den skandinavischen Ländern. In Österreich blieb die Baukonjunktur bis Mitte 1992 ungebrochen, 1992 erzielte Österreich vor Deutschland die höchste Zuwachsrate in Europa. Die meisten westeuropäischen Länder rechnen 1993 mit einer Stagnation oder Abnahme der Bauproduktion. Auch in Österreich und Westdeutschland läßt die Dynamik deutlich nach; vor allem die hohe Nachfrage und die stimulierenden Programme im Wohnungsneubau verhindern jedoch einen Rückgang der gesamten Bauproduktion.
