Der österreichische Schienenfahrzeugbau vor der Liberalisierung der Beschaffungsmärkte

Abstract

Wie die meisten europäischen Bahnverwaltungen vergeben auch die ÖBB den Großteil ihrer Aufträge an heimische Produzenten. Ein Abschluß des EWR-Vertrages wird diese historisch gewachsene Bevorzugung aufheben. Während die ÖBB den österreichischen Erzeugern für die nächsten zwei Jahre, in denen der Großteil der europäischen Exportmärkte noch durch ähnliche Verträge abgeschottet sein wird, mit einem Rahmenauftrag in der Höhe von 3,6 Mrd. S eine Grundauslastung sichern, muß diese Zeit dazu genutzt werden, eine stärkere Wettbewerbsposition auf ausländischen Märkten aufzubauen und die strukturelle Abhängigkeit von den ÖBB zu verringern.
