Die Bedeutung des EWR für Österreich

Abstract

Der EWR–Vertrag soll den Großteil der technischen und administrativen Hindernisse, die den Handel sowie die freie Bewegung von Arbeit und Kapital zwischen der EG und den EFTA–Staaten erschweren, beseitigen. Für die EWR–Länder waren 1990 75% der österreichischen Exporte von Waren und 81% von Dienstleistungen bestimmt. Aus österreichischer Sicht ist der EWR eine nützliche Etappe der europäischen Integration, deren Ziel der Beitritt zu den Europäischen Gemeinschaften ist.
