Konjunkturschwäche auf westliche Bundesländer und Niederösterreich konzentriert

Abstract

In einer durch die nachlassende Exportkonjunktur geprägten Entwicklung setzten im II. Quartal privater Konsum und die Bauwirtschaft positive Impulse, vor allem in Wien und im Burgenland. Die abklingenden Nachfrageimpulse aus der Wiedervereinigung Deutschlands trafen besonders die Industrie in Vorarlberg, Niederösterreich und der Steiermark, hingegen wurde die Zulieferindustrie Tirols, Salzburgs und Oberösterreichs davon kaum beeinträchtigt. Die Stromerzeugung ging witterungsbedingt in allen westlichen Bundesländern zurück. Der frühe Ostertermin beeinträchtigte die Wintersportgebiete im Westen, darüber hinaus wurde der Wachstumspfad im Städtetourismus durch plitische Sonderfaktoren unterbrochen.
