Abstract

Der schneearme Winter 1989/90 hat sich in enttäuschenden Tourismusergebnissen niedergeschlagen. Die Zahl der Nächtigungen war um mehr als 3% niedriger als in der Vorjahressaison, die Einnahmen von Gästen aus dem Ausland stagnierten in realer Rechnung. Das Ausbleiben von Einkaufstouristen aus Ungarn nach der Einführung restriktiverer Zollbestimmungen verstärkte noch den Nachfrageausfall. Auch in der ersten Hälfte der Sommersaison kamen nicht mehr Besucher aus dem Ausland als im Vorjahr; dennoch wird für August und die folgenden Monate eine Belebung der Nachfrage erwartet, da die gute Konjunktur in den wichtigsten Herkunftsländern höhere Reiseausgaben begünstigt und zumindest ein Teil der im Winter nicht verwirklichten Reisepläne nun nachgeholt werden dürfte.
