Kurzfristiger Aufschwung der Gründungstätigkeit. Neugründungen und Stillegungen von Industriebetrieben

Abstract

1989 wurden in Österreich 182 Industriebetriebe gegründet und 159 stillgelegt; per Saldo wurden damit 1.800 Arbeitsplätze gewonnen. Der Nettozuwachs ergab sich ausschließlich im Osten des Bundesgebietes und konzentrierte sich stark auf arbeitsintensive Branchen mit hohen Anforderungen an die Qualifikation der Arbeitskräfte. Höhere Stillegungsraten in der Ostregion unterstützten den mittelfristigen Trend der Verlagerung von Industriekapazitäten in den Westen, höhere Gründungsraten in Randgebieten trugen zur Dezentralisierung bei. Dieser Trend scheint aber abzubrechen.
