Osteuropa als Reisemarkt und Konkurrent

Abstract

Die einschneidenden politischen Veränderungen in Osteuropa und der UdSSR werden deutliche Auswirkungen auf die internationalen Konkurrenzverhältnisse und die Reisegewohnheiten der Bevölkerung haben. Von der rasch anschwellenden Reiselawine wird Österreich sowohl als Besuchs- als auch als Transitland getroffen werden. Die zeitliche und räumliche Entflechtung der Nachfrageströme sowie deren Umlenkung auf Massenverkehrsmittel wären geeignete Maßnahmen, um Spitzenbelastungen zu verringern sowie Umwelt und betroffene Bevölkerung bestmöglich zu schonen.
