Remuneration und Anreiz in der österreichischen Industrie. Höhe und Struktur der Vorstandsgehälter in österreichischen Industrie-Aktiengesellschaften

Abstract

Die Gehälter der Vorstandsmitglieder österreichischer Industrie-Aktiengesellschaften weisen nur geringe Anreizmechanismen auf: Mehr als zwei Drittel des Gehaltes sind fix kontrahiert, nur der Rest ist flexibel gestaltet. Die Flexibilität – und damit der Anreizcharakter – ist in in- und ausländischen Privatunternehmen höher, in direkt und indirekt verstaatlichten Unternehmen geringer. Die Höhe der Vorstandsgehälter erklärt sich überwiegend aus der Unternehmensgröße und erst in zweiter Linie aus der Zugehörigkeit zu einer der vier Eigentumskategorien (ausländische, direkt oder indirekt verstaatlichte Unternehmen bzw. inländische Privatunternehmen). Im Durchschnitt verdient ein aktives Vorstandsmitglied bei Erhöhung der Beschäftigung oder der Wertschöpfung um 10% um rund 3% mehr.
